Inside GNSS Magazine publication

In its August/September issue, Inside GNSS Magazine published a thorough article which explains how Skydel is able to generate GNSS signals in real-time. Written by Professor René Jr Landry from “École de Technologie Supérieure” University and Iurie Ilie from Skydel Solutions, the article describes the architecture and the performance of Skydel’s GNSS simulator that combines the real-time computational capabilities of a GPU and universal software radio peripherals.

Leap Second

The world’s clocks will be adjusted by one second on June 30, when a leap second will be inserted into Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). While there’s no need to panic or expect disaster, manufacturers of GNSS equipment must make sure their products are ready for this event. In a world where more and more electronics devices are relying on global positioning and timing, the importance of testing for all eventualities is as important as ever.
