ION GNSS+ 2016 Recap

“[…] But in the wings and making lots of waves at the show were Syntony from France and Skydel from Montreal, Canada.“ – Tony Murfin, GPS World. ( Read the complete article here.)

For the second year, Skydel went to ION GNSS+, this time demonstrating a mature GNSS simulator. We had our own booth that we had the pleasure of sharing with our friends at Talen-X, represented by Chuck Stoffer.

We had two live demos showcasing the flexibility of SDX: a laptop-based “lightweight” setup with a USRP X300 SDR, and a Talen-X BroadSim NAVWAR unit. Visitors were able to see the real-time generation of four constellations – GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou – simultaneously.

During the show, Stéphane and Chuck did a quick roundup of SDX and Talen-X BroadSim, which was captured on video:

We met a lot of interesting people, attended technical sessions, and had discussions about all things GNSS – R&D, NAVWAR, spoofing, spaceborne vehicles and receiver performance. After a few busy days, we headed back home (tired!), our luggage full of great feedback, and more motivated than ever to push the boundaries of simulator technology.

Thanks to all of you that visited us and gave us some good feedback on our products. See you next year!
